Called to be Christ Centered
Touching Lives + Transforming Hearts + Teaching God's Word
Music is an integral part of the dynamic worship at St. Mark's. We use the 1982 Hymnal as well as Lift Every Voice and Sing and a supplemental Parish Hymnal, which includes many contemporary songs and praise choruses.
Our pipe organ is an Aeolian Skinner, Opus 1059, which was built in 1945. More information about it can be found on The Organ Historical Society
Our Chancel Choir encourages new members to join us for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. We also rehearse on Sunday mornings from 9:30am to 10:15am for those who have difficulty attending the Wednesday evening rehearsals. We sing a wide variety of anthems at the 10:30am service throughout the school year.
Our Handbell Choir also encourages musicians to join us for our Wednesday evening rehearsals from 6:30px to 7:00pm in the Balcony. We play once a month at the 10:30am service throughout the school year.
Special music (soloists, instrumentalists, groups) is heard throughout the year, but mostly in the summer months. In the summer, a family friendly service is added from 9:30am to 10:15am in the Parish Hall. Kid-friendly music is used for this service.
